Q4_NR#5 - The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay

Katniss Everdeen's family and everyone who had survived the bombings in District 12 are now safely in 13, with Gale's help. But the Capitol has Peeta. Going through all her times feeling so depressed and confused about everything that has happened, she finally agreed to be the Mockingjay and go against the Capitol. Katniss did all her filmings and all to convince the districts to join the rebellion and fight the Capitol and especially to kill Snow.
Finally when Haymitch got Peeta along with Johanna back, they found out President Snow had hijacked, or brainwashed, Peeta and all his memories of Katniss into fear and hatred. Beetee tried using the same things President Snow did to recover Peeta's memories and they seemed to be working. While Peeta's remembering back things, thanks to his old friend Delly, Katniss, Gale, Boggs and the other soldiers were training their skills to go to the Capitol and kill Snow, with President Coin's help. Staying, hiding, and training underground from Snow’s soldiers, most of the group survived, until they found and killed almost every members of the group, including Boggs, and now that turns out, Katniss was going to be the leader.
Afterall, the group found themselves at President Snow's mansion, surrounding them were hundreds and thousands of little Capitol children. Prim was there to help the bruised and wounded ones. Suddenly there came an exploding. Prim was killed and Katniss was injured.
When Katniss was back to the Headquarters, Coin asked her and the remaining victors if they wanted to hold another Hunger Games for the Capitol children. Katniss agreed. When it came to Snow’s execution, Katniss was allowed to kill him, since she was healed days ago. But instead, she shooted Coin.
Sorry if I exposed all what happened, but I thought this chapter of novel was best!

Q4_NR#2 - The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

After winning the 74th Hunger Games, Katniss and her star-crossed lover from District 12 retured back home from the arena. She should've been satisfy or even proud of herself and skills throughout the Games and get the chance of winning. But it seemed all wrong. Nothing went the way Katniss wanted it to be. Unexpectedly. Gale didn't want to face her. Her family wasn't close to each other like before. Peeta completely abandoned her. Rumors of a rebellion hosted by Katniss were going around all districts that she doesn't even know she's a part of. The existence of 13 was questioned. President Snow showed up and threatened Katniss to stop the rebel, or all her relatives are going to die in horror.
During the Quarter Quell, President Snow announced the Games this year was going to be covered with a pool of winners from the past Games fighting each other and get one victor. Katniss was gong back to the arena. Facing what President Snow and the Capitol plans to kill her off.
Personally, I actually found Catching Fire better than the first episode. I was really surprised at some parts, ended up suspecting things or the next parts, ect. The ending of the novel was really unexpected, or unpredictable through many things. I thought this episode was amazingly breath-taking!

Q4_NR#1 - The Hunger Games

It was the 74th Hunger Games back then. The reaping day. 12-year-old Primrose Everdeen was chosen to be the female tribute of District 12 for the Games. Just as skinny, pale, and weak as she is, Prim can't win. The silence of the crowd says it all. They do not agree. All of this is wrong. It can't be right. Screaming through the silence of the audience was Katniss Everdeen. Volunteering for her sister's sake. Katniss was ready risking her life to keep Prim alive. She knew this might be the end of everything. She knew she had to give everything up back home. Her family, her neighbors, school friends, and even her friend Gale she fell in love with. Katniss had been close to death before, and she believed it was what set to be the second nature in life. Little did she knew, what stands in front of her in the future after this, is what she never expected to happen. And all that, is going to change her life. Completely.
I thought this novel was quite emotional at some point, especially when Rue died. There was quite a lot of parts when I found Katniss was like, in the middle of nowhere, and just sometimes caught in between desperation and hopeful.

Q3_NR#2 – The Break Up Bible

Jennifer Lewis was having a great junior year, just as how she wanted it to be.  She was the features editor of the school paper, and is dating Max Brown, the paper's editor-in-chief. Everything was totally perfect, until Max told her it would be better if they were just friends. Shocked, Jen wonders how she was going to deal with the pain of seeing Max and his friends in school every day. Making matters worse, she catches him kissing another girl from the school paper, where she also works. Jen couldn't sleep, or get out of bed, facing the outside world. Everyday, she would cry continuously, with the thoughts wandering in her mind, "I could die of heartache." Even with supportive friends and family — and opportunities to advance her journalism career, it really takes lots of time to move on. Her misery only intensifies when her grandmother gives her a book that she heard about on the radio. Dr. Emerson's 'The Breakup Bible' claims that "there's no reason a woman can't get over a breakup very quickly if she'll just follow a few basic commandments." In the beginning, Jen was completely skeptical about The Breakup Bible because it looked totally phony and since she couldn't find any faults with Max, she didn't even try moving on. However, when she starts actually taking the "commandments" seriously, she, then, really did thought of moving on, and forget all about the past of her and Max. Even the best ones.
